Browse the Music sample library and remix a sample's prompt

Describing music in words is hard when you have not heard the options. The Sample library on the Music tab solves that. It holds bundled tracks sorted by genre, and each one is a finished piece you can play, place, or use as the starting text for your own.
Find the Sample library
- Open AI Gen in the left panel.
- Press Audio in the switcher at the top of the panel.
- Choose Music, the sub-tab beside Voice.
- Scroll past the generator and Generated music to the Sample library heading.
Browse by genre
A row of chips filters the library: All, Songs, Cinematic, Ambient, Acoustic, Electronic, Upbeat, Chill, Corporate and Piano. With All selected, every genre shows under its own heading. Pick a chip to see one genre.
Each sample is a small card in a two-column grid:
- A waveform strip across the top.
- A round play button at the top left, labelled Play and then Pause.
- A length pill at the bottom right.
- The sample's name underneath.
- A + button at the top right that appears when you hover the card, labelled Add at the playhead.
Preview shares one player with the rest of the editor, so starting a sample stops whatever played before it.
Use a sample as it is
Press the + on a card, or drag the card onto the timeline. The + button lands the sample on the soundtrack at the playhead, and a drag lands it where you drop it. If a sound already sits at that spot, the new one slides to the next free slot.
Remix a sample's prompt
Every sample carries the text that describes it. Clicking the card loads that text into the generator above.
- Click a card whose mood is close to what you want.
- Scroll up to the generator. The prompt box now holds the sample's description, and the Song or Instrumental switch matches the sample. Cards in the Songs genre switch it to Song, and every other genre switches it to Instrumental.
- Edit the words. Change an instrument, shift the mood, or name the scene the music is for.
- Pick a Length, either Clip or Full track, and set how many Takes you want, from one to four.
- Press Generate music. Each finished track appears under Generated music.
You can also drag a card onto the prompt box. The box highlights, and dropping the card loads its text.
Generating music runs on your DepCut account and spends credits. Playing samples, adding them to the timeline and loading their prompts all happen before that step.
Learn from the prompts
Read a few loaded prompts before you write your own. The sample descriptions name the instruments, the mood and the use. One describes tense low strings and a slow pulsing drum, dark and suspenseful, as an instrumental film score. That is a useful shape to copy: say what plays, how it feels, and what it is for.
Load two samples from different genres, one after the other, and compare their prompts. The differences show you which words steer the sound, and you can borrow them for your own.
