A property video is a guided walk. Viewers want to know which room they are in, see it bright and clear, and move to the next one without a jolt. This recipe builds that walk from a folder of room clips.
Order the tour
- Create a project. Open Aspect ratio in the left panel and choose Widescreen · 16:9.
- Open Media and press Upload. Each video lands at the end of the main track, so upload in walking order: exterior, entry, living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, outdoor space.
- Trim each clip with Split and drop the left side and Split and drop the right side. Keep every room long enough to read its title.
- If a clip was shot upright, select it, open Framing in the right panel and press Fill so the picture covers the frame. The Zoom slider in the same tab crops in further.
Brighten the dim rooms
- Select a clip that looks dark and open Color in the right panel.
- Press Auto. It fits a starting grade from a frame of the clip.
- Adjust Exposure and Temperature by eye, and compare the result against the room before it so the tour keeps one look.
- Press Reset all at the bottom of the tab to start a clip over.
Link the rooms
- Open Transitions in the left panel, which clears any clip selection. A round button appears on the main track at each cut.
- Click the button between two rooms. The Transitions tab opens, scoped to that cut.
- Scroll to the Push heading and click Push left. Use the same direction for every room so the tour keeps moving one way.
- Drag the Duration slider at the top of the tab down toward 0.3 seconds for a brisk step. The range is 0.1 to 2 seconds.
Transitions overlap the two clips on either side, so the tour gets a little shorter and everything after each one moves earlier. Add them before the titles.
Name the rooms
- Move the playhead to the start of the first room and press T.
- In the right panel's Text tab, type the room name. Open Backdrop and switch it on so the label stays readable on bright walls.
- Drag the title in the preview to the lower-left corner.
- Open Animate, keep In selected and pick Fade.
- With that title selected, move the playhead to the next room and press Ctrl+D or Cmd+D. The copy lands at the playhead with the same look and position. Change its words and repeat.
- For the contact card, park the playhead near the end of the last clip and press T. Type the property name on the first line, then the agent and phone number on lines below it. The Text box takes several lines.
- Drag the right edge of that title bar to the end of the clip. Viewers need time to read contact details.
Score and send
- Open AI Gen, choose Audio, then Music. In the Sample library pick Piano or Ambient and press the plus on a card with the playhead at the start.
- Click the music, park the playhead where the last clip ends, and press Split and drop the right side. Then click the music again, open Fade out and drag the slider so the track tapers.
- Press Export, choose a preset and press Export video.
Walk it through
Property clips repeat the same few moves in every room, so the recipe repeats too. Open DepCut and cut your first room.
