Find, preview and delete finished exports in Media

Every video you render ends up in one place per project. The Exports list sits under your files in the Media panel. It is where you play a result, send it to your computer and clear out old versions.
Where the list lives
- Open Media in the left panel.
- Stay on the Assets view, the first of the two buttons at the top.
- Scroll past the file cards. The Exports heading appears once the project has an export, or one that is still rendering.
Read a row
Each finished row shows three things:
- A small thumbnail of the first frame.
- The date and time the file was written, such as "Oct 30, 2:15 PM".
- The size in MB, followed by MP4.
A row carries a time and no file name, so identify an export by when you rendered it. The file itself takes its name from the project.
Watch a running render
An export in progress appears as a row called Exporting…. It reads Preparing, then Queued or a percentage with the elapsed time, and it has a Cancel button that stops the render. The small card in the corner of the screen has an X. For a render running on your Mac, the X hides the card and the render keeps going. For a cloud project rendering in your browser tab, the X stops the export.
The Media tile in the left panel shows a spinner during a render. If the export finishes while Media is closed, the tile shows a blue count. Open Media and the new row pulses for a few seconds so you can spot it.
Preview, download or show in Finder
- Click a row to open Preview as a post, which plays the file in Original, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube views.
- For a project stored on your Mac, the folder button Show in Finder reveals the file on disk.
- For a cloud project, the Download export button saves the file through your browser.
Delete exports with care
The trash button Delete export opens a confirmation titled "Delete this export?". It says the rendered file leaves the project's exports folder and your cut is untouched. You can export again at any time. Press Delete to confirm or Cancel to keep the file.
Deleting old renders keeps the list readable. A project that went through several rounds of feedback ends up with one row per round, and only the last one matters.
Two other actions touch exports, so check the list before you use them:
- Deleting a project removes its media files and its exports. The confirmation dialog says so.
- Move to Cloud copies the project and its media to the cloud and then removes the project from your Mac. Its dialog says exports rendered on your Mac are not copied, and they go with the removed project.
Copy any export you want to keep before you do either. A copy in a folder of your own survives both.
Make a habit of it
After each render, open the list, play the newest row and delete the ones it replaces. Open DepCut, go to Media and check what your current project has piled up.
