Run one-shot video jobs with Quick tools on the Projects page

Some jobs need one video in and one file out. Burn in captions, pull out the sound, stamp a watermark. Quick tools handle six of those jobs from a single dialog, and you never open a timeline.
Where Quick tools lives
Open the Projects page. Above your project grid sits a row headed Quick tools with six cards. The row appears once your account has at least one project or folder. It hides while you have a folder open, so go back to the top level of Projects to see it.
Each card shows a name and a one-line description:
- Add captions: Transcribe and burn in a style
- Extract audio: Pull out the sound as its own file
- Isolate voice: Keep the speech, drop music and noise
- Isolate music: Keep the music, drop the voice
- Add watermark: Stamp text over the whole clip
- Mute audio: Strip the audio track
Run a tool
- Click a card. A dialog opens with the tool's name as its title.
- Drop a video onto the dashed box, or press Choose a file. The box takes video files. After you pick one, its name shows and the button changes to Choose a different file.
- Set the tool's options if it has any. Add captions has a Caption style picker, Extract audio has Format, and Add watermark has Watermark text and Position. The other three have no options.
- Press Run. The button stays disabled until a file is chosen, and the watermark also needs its text.
- Keep the dialog open. It names the current stage and shows a percentage when the stage can report one. The dialog asks you to stay on it so the file arrives automatically.
- When the dialog says "Done", your download should have started. Press Run another to start over, or Close.
If a run fails, the dialog shows the message and a Try again button that takes you back to the options.
What a run leaves behind
Every tool works from a real project that DepCut makes out of your upload. Add captions, Isolate voice, Isolate music, Add watermark and Mute audio each apply the single edit they need to it and render it the way a normal export renders. Extract audio reads the sound straight from the upload. Each project stays in your Projects list afterward, so when a run goes sideways, the project is still there to open and inspect.
Credits
Isolate voice and Isolate music each show a note in their dialogs: they use credits, by the length of the video. Try them on a short clip first to see the result before you commit a long one.
Pick the right card
- You want the sound as its own file: Extract audio.
- Speech sits under music or noise: Isolate voice.
- You want the music bed without the talking: Isolate music.
- You want words on screen from the speech: Add captions.
- You want your handle over the picture: Add watermark.
- You want a silent version: Mute audio.
