Make a short vertical ad with AI-generated shots

Hook, benefit, call to action: three beats carry a short ad. Plan them first, and every generated shot has a reason to exist.
Plan three beats
Write one line for each beat. For example, a hook that names the problem, a shot that shows the product solving it, and a closing line that tells the viewer where to go. Open Aspect ratio and choose Vertical.
Generate the shots
Open the AI Gen tile on the left panel. A switcher at the top of the panel moves between Video, Image and Audio. Image, video and voice generation spend account credits, so start with one take per shot.
- Switch to Image. Describe the scene. To keep your real product in the picture, drop its photo into the prompt box or type @ to reference it from the project. Set Aspect ratio and Resolution, then press Generate image. Drag the finished tile onto the timeline.
- Switch to Video. Describe the motion, for example a slow push toward the product. Choose a Model, Duration, Aspect ratio and Number of takes, then press Generate video. Renders take a minute or two and you can keep editing while they run.
- When the tile appears, hover over it and click + (Add to timeline).
Footage you filmed yourself works in the same sequence. Upload it from Media.
Build the edit
- Order the clips as hook, benefit, call to action. Trim each one to the moment that carries its beat, using Trim, or by pausing at the start of the moment and clicking Split and drop the left side, then pausing at its end and clicking Split and drop the right side.
- Press T at the first frame, open Text in the right panel (or double-click the title in the preview) and type the hook line. Open Words in the right panel, click the one word that matters and give it a Color or a Box. Open Animate and choose an in animation.
- Press T again near the end for the call to action. The title style you last used carries over, so both lines match.
- Open Stickers and press Create sticker to make a cut-out graphic from a prompt, such as a badge. Drag the sticker onto the timeline. This also spends credits.
Add sound
- Sound FX. Open the Sound FX tab, search the Library for "click" or "impact", then click + to add the sound at the playhead. Place a hit where the product appears.
- Music. In AI Gen, open Audio then Music, choose Instrumental, and add a track from the Sample library or press Generate music.
- Voiceover. Open Audio then Voice, paste the script and press Generate audio. The voiceover drops on the soundtrack at the playhead and lowers other audio by default. Adjust it with Duck on the voiceover clip.
Publish
Open Details and write the Caption and Tags. Press ⌘E, choose Best · 1080p, and press Export video. Click the finished file under Exports in Media and preview it in the TikTok, Instagram or YouTube layout before you post.
